Miami-Dade Libertarians to form LP affiliate Oct 21st

Libertarians are reviving the affiliate and all are invited to attend...

After several years of being dormant, the Miami-Dade County LP is starting up again and we want you involved!

The Libertarian Party is growing dramatically, especially here in Florida!

This first meeting is simply an organizational meeting and expect to find the four officers for the local organization (chair, vice chair, secretary, and treasurer). Even if you do not want to be an officer, we can use volunteers for various aspects of the organization. It is also a way to get to know one another and see which direction we would like to go.

There are a huge number of Libertarians and libertarians in Miami-Dade - this could turn into the largest county affiliate the Libertarian Party of Florida has. Become a part of it!

We are meeting next Tuesday night on October 21 at 7PM at the Panera Bread located at 9717 NW 41st Street in Doral (Miami).

Broward LP Meeting

The next meeting of the Broward LP is this Wednesday, March 14th.

The meeting starts at 7:00pm, but many people arrive early to discuss liberty, freedom and the Constitution.

Broward LP meeting dates for 2007:

Second Wednesday of each month.

For 2007, the meetings will be held on: Wednesday, March 14th, April 11th, May 9th, June 13th, July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, October 10th, November 14th, December 12th. BLP elections will be held on Dec. 12th.

The dates are also posted at the bottom of each email on the yahoo discussion list.

Black Congressman Advocates a Return to Slavery

Congressman Charles Rangel of New York has introduced a bill that would re-institute military conscription and create an army of slaves for the empire. His political pals at the liberal Brookings Institute and elsewhere are calling for making this form of slavery more "universal" by calling it "universal service." Congressman Rahm Emanuel is championing this odious venture, which would conscript every 18-year-old to perform several years of (non-military)"service" to the state. So far, no objections from the neocons.

Slavery was outlawed a long time ago, but it's apparently A-OK today as long as it "serves" the gang of crooks, conmen and clowns who run the central government. It is perfectly acceptable to the Charles Rangels of the world as long as it is done by a "democracy." Say that magic word, and the Average I.Q. of the American electorate zooms in the direction of zero. If the public goes along with this, we have truly become Borat Nation.
